Your privacy matters.
Your routines can be personal. Here’s what stays on your phone, what happens when you use the cloud, and the choices you have.
Last updated September 30, 2026Who we are
Togglet is an app developed by Roi Kramer for recording everyday routines. This policy covers the Togglet mobile app and togglet.app. For privacy questions or requests, contact help@togglet.app.
Start on your device
You can use Togglet without an account. Stations, widget settings, activity, Templates, and preferences are stored locally on your device. Local-only Stations and Templates are not uploaded to your Togglet account unless you choose to back them up.
Your device’s operating system and backup settings may separately include app data in device backups. Local app records are not encrypted by Togglet itself; use your device’s passcode and access controls to protect them.
When you sign in or sync
If you sign in with Google or Apple (where available), we receive account information such as an account identifier, name, email address, and profile image where provided. We use this to authenticate you and show your account and membership identity. Togglet does not receive your provider password. If you choose Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive a relay address instead of your personal email address.
When you enable backup or sharing, we process the content needed to provide those features: Station names and settings, widgets, recorded activity and timestamps, Templates, membership information, and invitation records. Account-connected content is stored on our backend and cached on your devices. Existing local content is uploaded when you choose to back it up; new account Templates synchronize to your account.
Activity records include identifiers used to attribute actions and avoid duplicate delivery. If you record health-related or other sensitive information, it can be included in the content you choose to sync or share. Only record information you are entitled to use.
How we use information
We use information to operate the app, authenticate accounts, synchronize content, manage invitations and permissions, resolve support requests, and protect the service from misuse. We do not sell your personal information or use your recorded routines for targeted advertising.
Where applicable, we process information to provide the service you request, pursue legitimate interests in service security and support, comply with legal obligations, or act on consent where it is required. You can choose not to use cloud features.
Sharing and service providers
People you invite to a shared Station or Template can access its shared content according to their role. This can include activity history and contributor names. Owners manage membership; removing access cannot erase copies another person already obtained.
We use Convex to run the cloud backend, Google and Apple for their respective sign-in options, and Expo services to deliver app builds and updates. These providers process information needed to operate their services. Website hosting, network infrastructure, and email providers may process connection information or support correspondence. Service providers may process data outside your country under their applicable terms and safeguards.
We may disclose information where necessary to comply with lawful requests, protect rights and service security, or carry out a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations. We do not make your Stations publicly discoverable.
Diagnostics and this website
The app records local diagnostic information such as error messages, technical identifiers, and stack traces to help investigate failures. The current app does not automatically upload this local diagnostic store to a remote crash-reporting service. If you share diagnostics or contact support, we process what you send to respond.
This website does not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Hosting infrastructure may process standard request information, including IP address, browser details, and request timing, for delivery and security. Store and email links take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on your device until removed through the app or device storage controls. Some deletion and Undo actions preserve historical records or tombstones rather than immediately erasing every underlying record. Signing out hides account-connected cached data; it is not the same as deleting an account.
Account deletion removes your account-owned cloud Stations and Templates through a cleanup process. Other members lose access to your deleted Stations. Contributions to Stations owned by other people may remain as part of their history; your membership is disabled and its display name is replaced. Minimal identifiers may remain to prevent stale devices from restoring deleted data and to maintain service integrity.
Local-only Stations and Templates remain on the device after account deletion. Backup copies and operational records, where retained, may persist until their applicable retention cycles expire or as required for security or legal obligations. Contact us for information about retention relevant to your request. See the account deletion page for instructions and a way to request deletion without the app.
Your choices and rights
You choose whether to sign in, back up local content, and invite others. You can manage membership, revoke unused invitations, sign out, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to your local privacy authority.
Send requests to help@togglet.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary sensitive records. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully performed.
Children and changes
Togglet is intended for adults managing their own or their household’s routines. A baby-care Template is a tool for a caregiver, not an invitation for children to create accounts. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us.
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide additional notice or seek consent for changes where required.
